Our adventure started at 9 o'clock and we set off to  Seljandafoss Waterfall. When we arrived we jumped off the bus and we were able to explore behind it. The scenery around us was beautiful and we only got slightly wet! We then took a walk along the rock edge and we came across lots of little waterfalls. At the end of the path we discovered a secret gorge, which was another fantastic photo opportunity.

We then went to a farm and cinema which in 2010 was affected by the volcano called Eyjafjallajökull. We watched a short film on how a massive ash cloud exploded from the volcano and spread across the land covering all the houses and crops. The owners of the cinema live in the farm which was destroyed by the ash, but they worked together and now the farm looks the same and they are producing crops again. Their story is unique and interesting and it is amazing what people can do when they work together.

We then visited Skogafos waterfall and we climbed 427 steps to see the top of it, and after this we ate lunch.

After lunch we went to a Glacier which is actually the tongue of a glacier that has a huge volcano underneath!  We had crampons fitted to our shoes and we were given a pic-axe and we set off on a long trek to the edge of the glassier. When we reached the top There was a small fresh water stream which cooled us down after our tiring uphill walk. The views were stunning and the weather was perfect so we were able to see for miles.
