Day 2: Jasper Metcalfe

Today my room mate Toby and I woke up at 7 o'clock, bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready and raring to go. We went to breakfast and had a hearty feast. We were then loaded onto the bus by our guide Dave and we headed to the basalt inspired church. We went through the huge doors and looked at the beautiful and open building. We then went for the lift to the top of the church. When we reached the top I could see the whole city.

After seeing the church in all its might, we went to a place where the continents of North America and Eurasia were once joined together. After seeing this amazing place, we had our lunch and a hot chocolate.

After filling up on lunch we had caving ahead of us. The road leading to the cave was amazingly bumpy and we had few jokers who were just being a bit silly. After the bumpy road, we got off the bus and got our helmets on and were introduced to our cave guide called Orri. We then headed for the cave and it was a spectacle that I will never forget! After seeing this AMAZING and huge cave we headed for the Gulfoss waterfall which was truly amazing and the amount of water that was flowing over the rocks was unbelievable! Also, because such a lot of water was flowing over the rocks. the spray from the falls was being sprayed up at us and we got soaked.

Today has been an amazing day!!!
